The United Fund of Iowa County (UFIC) Board of Directors is pleased to share the results of the annual fundraising campaign for 2023-24. Iowa County residents generously donated just over $60,000 to be dispersed amongst several Iowa County nonprofits.
“We extend our gratitude to all donors on behalf of the organizations that received grants. From children through adults, these funds provide resources and opportunities for many in our community,” said Donna Peterson, UFIC President.
Iowa County nonprofits can be considered for grants from UFIC through an application process. The UFIC Board of Directors reviews the applications and awards the grants based on adherence to the criteria set forth in the application. These criteria include: all recipients must have nonprofit status and the funds awarded be used to benefit only Iowa County residents. For the 2023-24 campaign, UFIC was able to award grants to the following organizations via a virtual event on March18, 2023:

Easter Seals of Wisconsin
Family Resource Center of Iowa County

Iowa-Grant RIF (Reading is Fundamental) Program
Merrimac & Main Center
Mineral Point Public Library
New Hope Lutheran
Pecatonica Educational Foundation
Seniors United for Nutrition
Shake Rag Alley Center for the Arts
Wisconsin Badger Camp
Organizations that received designated donations from residents of Iowa County included Dodgeville EMS, Mineral Point Rescue Squad and Iowa County HCE-WI Bookworms.
